Security features

256-bit encryption

We use encryption to protect and secure all of your information, from personal data to your transaction history.

Transport Layer Security

Our mobile applications use TLS protocol to protect your information when communicating with SeamPay.

Biometric recognition

You have the option to use biometric recognition (such as a fingerprint or facial scan) to access your account.

Access control

SeamPay uses session end-timers and log-in thresholds to prevent unauthorized access to your account.

Certifications

SeamPay is PCI DDS compliant.

SeamPay handles sensitive financial customer data, so we’ve taken steps to secure critical systems and information. SeamPay has been audited by an external third party to validate compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

This standard evaluates all technical controls to ensure that card data is protected and secured from malicious attackers.

SeamPay is ISO27001 and ISO22301 compliant.

The ISO 27001 & 22301 certification means that we have acceptable business practices and processes, including a robust business continuity plan.

How to protect yourself

We encourage you to take these additional steps to secure your account.

In the section below this one, we detail some of the things we have in place to help keep you safe — but you also have a role to play. Here are the most important things to remember.

SeamPay support staff — even those on in-app chat support — will never ask for your app PIN, card PIN, or any passwords. If someone claiming to be from SeamPay asks for any of these, take a screenshot and report them via the in-app chat straight away.

We will only communicate with you about the particulars of your account via our dedicated in-app chat support. If you engage in email communication with a member of the team, this will happen first through chat support.

Always use the most recent version of the app (download via Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

SeamPay does not offer account support via social media, or through any partner agency. If you contact (or are contacted by) anyone claiming to be a SeamPay agent outside of the app, it is a scam.

Identity verification

Know Your Customer (KYC) is a financial service regulation that requires the verification of your identity. KYC aims to prevent corruption, terrorism, fraud and money laundering, and keeps financial services safe, clean and secure

Why is ID verification needed?

Basically, we need to verify that you are who you say you are. Your submission is validated against policies imposed on us under AML financial service regulations. KYC enables SeamPay to be kept safe and will support the development of even more features to improve your SeamPay experience.

Do I have to do this?

To get the full experience of using SeamPay, you will have to go through ID verification. If you don’t submit the required information or if your submission is rejected, we’re legally prevented from giving you full access to SeamPay.

There are three types of limits that can be placed on your account.  

1 — The daily limit: is the maximum amount of money you can spend with your wallet in a day.  
2 — The monthly limit: is the maximum amount of money you can spend with your wallet in a month.

How does it work?

The process of KYC is simple, and your submission should only take a few minutes to complete. You’ll be guided through the following steps:  

1 — Answer a few questions (e.g. nationality and residential address)
2 — Snap a selfie
3 — Upload a photo of an official document (we’ll let you know what document type is required)
